School Hours: 8:50 AM - 3:15 PM
Early Release Days: 8:50 AM - 11:50 AM
Bell Schedule: 8:55 AM 1st Bell | 9:05 2nd Bell - Instruction begins | 3:15 3rd Bell - Dismissal

*Please note: Breakfast is available from 8:50-9:05. Students getting breakfast should arrive no later than 8:50 am to ensure they have time to eat before instruction begins.

Attendance is taken by the classroom teacher at 9:05. Students should be in their classroom by 9:05 to avoid being marked tardy. Arriving late can cause unnecessary stress and disruption, so starting the school day on time helps ensure a positive, calm start to the school day.

Arrival/Dismissal Procedures:
Students should arrive at school no earlier than 8:50 AM. Staff will be ready to greet students at 8:50 AM, and students will enter through the following doors:

Kindergarten: Door 11
Grade 1: Door 12
Grade 2: Door 13
Grade 3: Door 4
Grade 4: Door 4
Grade 5: Door 3

When dropping off and picking up, please be aware that the main driveway is closed from 8:45-9:25 and 3:00-3:25, and is inaccessible by vehicles with the exceptions of WPS buses and vans. We encourage you to use the beach parking lot (on North St.) or the James O’Sullivan parking lot (on Pilgrim Road). Please use caution when entering and exiting, as these are busy times with lots of foot traffic. If you require accommodations for arrival and/or dismissal, please contact the office at 781-335-2210.

It is important that you make a plan with your child so that they know where to meet you at the end of the day. We ask that you walk down to the school to drop off and pick up younger students, or arrange for an older sibling/family friend to walk them to your meeting spot. Our teachers are happy to help you establish a plan to ensure that each child finds their pick-up person easily. As an extra safety precaution, please remind your child that if they don’t see you at dismissal, they should return to their teacher or the main office.

Dismissal changes:
All dismissals made prior to 3:15 PM require a written note from the parent/guardian to the child’s teacher, or a phone call to the office (no emails, please!). Teachers will send the note to the front office for record-keeping purposes. Parents or family members must be prepared to show a driver’s license or form of positive identification for early dismissals.

Any changes in the usual dismissal routine require a written note to the teacher or a phone call to the office (again, no emails please!). Examples include a bus student who will be picked up, or a student who will go home with a friend.. Without a note or phone call, students will need to follow their typical dismissal plan This helps us make certain that all students arrive home safely at the end of the day.

Thank you for your cooperation with these procedures!
